Roccat April Open Bonanza
By
Matt0! in General on Thursday 01 April @ 18:05
Enemydown are very pleased to announce The April Open Bonanza.
The competition will run from April 1st to April 30th 2010 and will reward clans for their activity and ultimately their ability to top the CSS Open ladder. Enemydown has teamed up with our friends at Roccat to provide you with the chance to win one of three sets of prizes for your team.
All you have to do is play matches on the open ladders during the month of April to be in with a chance to win. Only teams who are in the open ladder as of the 31st of march 2010 qualify for this event.
Our first prize will go to the team who tops the ladder at precisely 23:59 on April 30th 2010 and 5 lucky clan members will win a ROCCAT Arvo keyboard each!
For those who aren’t perhaps ready to top the ladder, you still have a great chance to win with 5 ROCCAT Kova miceup for grabs to the team who plays the most games in a open ladder (not overall activity) during April and best of all, it doesn’t matter what game you play as long as you are playing in an open ladder, it is open to all!
Finally, for those who are neither the most active or most successful, we have given you a chance to win too. All you have to do is have your team inside the top 20 on the Open CSS ladder at 23:59 on April 30th 2010 to be in with a chance to win a the excellent ROCCAT Apuri (5 per team). The winner will be drawn at random from the top 20 finishers.
We will also be providing weekly updates on the progress of the ladders and some featured matches and teams to keep it interesting throughout the month.
Points for the Open Ladder will be reset on the 1st April, to give all clans the same fair starting point. A copy of the old points for all open ladder clans has been made and any clan wishing to have their points reinstated after this event finishes are welcome to have them put back.
This is the first of many future hardware and cash prize tournaments that we will be running on Enemydown over the coming year, but most of all it is a small token of our appreciation to those who have stuck with ED over the last few transitional months.
This is just the first in a line of announcements and plans we have to help Enemydown over the coming few months, so stay tuned for more announcements very soon.
To qualify, all you need to do is play at least 5 matches in the ladders during April, so what are you waiting for!
The only thing left to say is good luck to every clan involved!

Matt0! in General on Thursday 01 April @ 17:32

It's been some time since the last season but we're back! And once again, our ethos of providing matches for clans who wish to play in a competitive environment with a fun atmosphere for prizes, stays the same.
The prizes shall be a server from RTL-Servers for the winners of each division. We may have more prizes to supply so stay tuned on that.
Once again, we have England mak3m on board to do the clips of the week and of course we shall do our weekly previews & interviews. We have also brought on board UK MCrossy who will be shoutcasting a select game each week.
KGL Season 8 shall begin on Sunday 11th April and we will keep our usual timeslot of 9pm on a Sunday. The amount of sign-ups will dictate the number of divisions and how many clans in each division.

Week 4 - Sunday May 2nd - Nuke

Latest Updates and Progress
By
Havoc in Team News on Friday 19 February @ 20:34
It's been a slow and steady few weeks since the re-birth of simply in the new year, we have had ups and downs and only now are we beginning to settle. This article will take you through the last couple of months or so!
THE ROSTER
As most will know within the team we have recruited a fair few members to cover for the main core who have commitments outside of the gaming world! It took a couple of weeks but now everyone has settled we finish with this lineup:
Core Players
Matto
Kue
D35TR0Y3R
Havoc
Rings
Danny
Shrewdles
Shapesy
Mau5
Gaz
Backups
Catfat
Stalkers
Unfortunatly we have seen less and less of Stalkers recently so he has left the core team, and until March Kue will remain at univerity, however the team has expanded with the likes of Gaz, Catfat, Shrewdles, Shapesy and Mau5 joining the team. This has increased our activity dramatically! More css mmmmmmm
THE RESULTS
A very mixed bag of results over the last few weeks, with some really good results, to the not so good. However we have seen our first achievement of our time as simply, its only taken what 6months?!?!?!
The Good
The new recruits helped win the first achievement for simply so far. In the form of the RTL January Cup. The team overcame Narchad in the final to win the free server for one month. The cup required a good string of results against some long standing teams, so all in all a very good win!
After a rather long string of losses after this high, we reached another evening where by we were playing Narchad who had strung a lot of good results together recently, and CRO who are a long standing and experienced team in ed. We beat Narchad 17-13, but the result wasnt as close as it sounds, we one the first half 13-2, and the second we had 3-2 rounds, before the foot came off the peddle and they caught up. We then enetered CRO's match on a high, but after losing 12-3 on CT, there wasn't a lot of positivity by any means. Nevertheless we kept going, despite numerous timeouts, lag spikes and what not. We won the second half 13-2, providing us the vital win!
The Bad
Well with all the good news there will always be bad news. Unfortunatly we have strung a lot of losses together in ED where we struggle to keep a decent form, however some losses were worse than others, and we have been able to give teams tough matches. Lets hope in the future we can spring better form together.
THE END
Simply Another Year!
By
Havoc in A new Begining on Tuesday 12 January @ 18:15
Welcome to the first 2010 News post at Simply.css and for the team it brings about a few changes and updates which Matt0 asked for me to share through a news post. Formed on my birthday (15th August) in the summer of Last year we have been going strong. Since then simply has had its fair share of problems , but we have come out strong with the solid crew of mates:
Matt0
Kue
Havoc
Rings
Randy
Tunes
Scores
This lineup has currently remained for the past few months, gradually improving, the banter is bloody awsome, and we are all agreed that Matt0! is a cock, so morale among the team is pretty awsome. Attendance to i40 will occur where we can share a few beers! However everyone apart from Matt0 has a life now, so anyone outside the team reading this, we are recruiting a couple more players to allow the team to play all through the week. So if you're 18+ and mid/mid+ skill then visit the forums and make a post. We have a few trialies at the moment so please be patient. Our current lis of trialists:
Shapesy
Gaz
Shrewdlesboom
Mau5
As for more details on our plans, the team was going to attend i39 but unfortunatly we have been unable to gather enough troops, however i40 is definatly in the pipelines and we expect most new members to be able to attend it with us. i37 with XTX was very good, and we wish to carry on the summer tradition of lan with simply. Now i will move on to an update/news per player of the team!
Matt0: The clan leader of Simply finally has a job at a restaurant down on the coast. Before he got this you could gurantee he was going to be online till 4 in the morning! He is currently single ladies, so feel free to get in contact!
Kue: The deputy leader of Simply is currently at University, sad times that unfortunatly he doesnt have his PC with him, however he is still a pro on the laptop, even if he does have 10FPS. His skills out did Matt0 on nuke!
Havoc: The secretive member of Simply remains hidden at all times, he is however travelling to New Zealand for three weeks come the end of January. He is aware that you will miss him, so feel free to send money to make him feel better about this.
Randy: As we are all aware Randy has a girlfriend!! She is young
and she is welsh, unfortunatly nobody is yet aware of what she looks like, however we are happy for him. The dad of the girl claims randy is an "old man", he must earn the dads approval!
Scores: Unfortunatly still Scottish, he has recently got in to World of Warcraft once more, a good thing to take up those many hours of boredem whilst he isn't working. Scores is known for his unusual sleeping patterns, sound guy none the less!
Tunes: Unfortunatly the fight between tunes and havoc has had to be delayed till i40, due to tunes bottling out of i39 due to fear his body was not yet fit enough to take on the man they called Havoc. Some how tunes got a girlfriend.
I hope the news article has been useful in order for you to get a good idea of Simply and our prospects of the new year! Just so you are all aware 25% of people who voted in the "what size are Havoc's balls" voted large! POW POW!
Peace
Havoc
